Lee made for an interesting victor and this might just be the thing that turns him into a global sensation. The moves here were beyond belief and the action was as addictive as any-thing else in wrestling. My Opinion: 4 out of 5 – This was one of the best examples of a short match delivering a great match. Match #6: Dragon Lee defeated Bandido and Taiji Ishimori – (New Japan Pro Wrestling) International Wrestling Grand Prix Junior Heavyweight Title Match Everyone else looked like they were having a good time with this match, but a good time does not always equal a great bout. Actually, I bet Ray had the time of his life here. My Opinion: 2.5 out of 5 – This was standard garbage wrestling stuff, so at least Ray looked comfortable here. Match #5: Flip Gordon, Mark Haskins, & Juice Robinson defeated Bully Ray, Silas Young, & Shane Taylor – New York Street Fight Match This was lousy and that’s just the way it is. Mayu looked good, but losing just cut into what she could logically work into the match without ruining Klein’s victory. Klein just couldn’t make her part of this match work. What the hell were they thinking? Match #4: Kelly Klein (New Champion) defeated Mayu Iwatani – (Ring Of Honor) Women Of Honor World Title Match Now, Rush looks mundane and Castle looks like a jobber to the stars. By having Castle lose so quickly, they made him look weak and pathetic. This match gave you little to no time with Rush, so you don’t get to appreciate what makes him so special. Having this match occur as a squash was a mistake. My Opinion: 0 out of 5 – This was a massive failure. This was everything it needed to be and even a bit more. This was a technical feast, which is a thrill to say about a match at Madison Square Garden. I could have gone with either man winning, but Cobb will do well with the big victory. The wrestling here was outstanding, with both guys looking like they were trying to rip each other to pieces. My Opinion: 4 out of 5 – This was great for a match that just barely got outside the ten minute mark. Match #2: Ring Of Honor World Television Champion Jeff Cobb (New Champion) defeated (New Japan Pro Wrestling) International Wrestling Grand Prix NEVER Open-Weight Champion Will Ospreay – Winner Takes All Match Overall, this match got the crowd excited, which is just fine. In what may have set the precedent for the card, the Japanese wrestlers were the best thing here. The action was of a certain quality, which should neither condone nor condemn the match itself. My Opinion: 3 out of 5 – This was less about great wrestling and more about big surprises. Match #1: The 30-Man Honor Rambo: Winner – Kenny King I’m Nathan Favel and right here on Nerdly, we have one of the biggest events in wrestling history to discuss, so let’s do so.
